KLM Carrier Baggage Policy

For handbags in economy class, there will be 1 hand baggage allowed with a maximum size of 55 x 35 x 25 cm including handles and wheels, and 1 accessory such as a small handbag or laptop with a size limit of 40 x 30 x 15 cm. There will be 2 hand baggage allowed with a size limit of 55 x 35 x 25 cm including handles and wheels and 1 accessory with a size limit of 40 x 30 x 15 cm in business class. For checked baggage, there will be different baggage sizes and weights will be considered according to the different classes.

KLM offers flexible check-in options depending on your flight's destination and whether you opt for online or airport check-in. Online check-in is available from 30 hours to 1 hour before departure on most flights, though flights to and from the US have a window from 24 hours to 1 hour before. For airport check-in, you can use either the desk or self-service kiosks. At staffed desks, check-in opens 2 hours to 40 minutes before for European flights and 3 hours to 1 hour before for intercontinental flights. At Schiphol, kiosks are available all day; other airports require check-in at least 2 hours before departure.
